The position requires working in a team environment, being comfortable taking instruction, and being able to operate effectively and proactively without direct supervision. You must be comfortable and skilled working directly with end users in both a helpdesk environment and on-site.

Senior IT Office 365 Administrator and Service Technician

We are growing and looking to add a Senior IT Administration Technician who will support the general IT support needs of a variety of clients needs across many industries with a focus on the effective use of O365 for our customers and helping the organization follow best practices for O365, Azure, Entra and Intune.

The administrator will act as the subject matter expert and technical resource with comprehensive knowledge of O365, Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS), Defender ATP, and Intune. the admin will perform day-to-day activities in O365 environments including operations of a hybrid environment, co-management, directory-sync, reviewing various alerts for Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Security and Compliance. This role will partner with other team members to monitor and review data loss and prevention (DLP) alerts and activities and recommend improvements for an effective DLP operation and strategy,

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • General Managed Services IT support

  • Microsoft Office 365 technical subject matter expert to include expert level understanding of Azure, Azure AD, Intune etc.

  • Maintain a comprehensive technical understanding of all aspects of Office 365

  • Performs day to day activities within the O365 environment

  • Provide documentation, implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and monitoring support

  • Monitor and support AD to O365 sync

  • Monitor and support hybrid operations between AD and O365

  • Monitor and support Intune’s deployment of policies and patching processes

  • Monitor and support provisioning of devices into O365/Intune

  • Create and deploy policies to protect devices and accounts

  • Performs investigations on possible O365 incidents or issues

  • Evaluates Office 365 changes & updates and determines impact on clients

  • Performs advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution

  • Maintains awareness of O365 roadmap and releases

  • Maintains awareness of O365 third-party solutions

  • Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in day-to-day activities and support of Office 365 implementations

  • In depth understanding of the capabilities of Office 365

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Active Directory (AAD)

  • Experience with OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams

  • Experience with Exchange services

  • Experience with single sign-on and multi-factor authentication

  • Experience with Microsoft EMS

  • Proficiency in Windows PowerShell

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Able to work independently and within groups

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple activities and/or tasks simultaneously

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Servers, Networks, standard PC hardware/software installation, administration, troubleshooting and repair

  • Windows client/server networks, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP configuration, and Windows Active Directory

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3 Years or more experience in a professional IT service company

  • Microsoft O365 Certification(s)

  • Microsoft Azure or Entra certification(s)

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds, Ability to be physically agile and able to maneuver and work in a confined space

  • Flexible working hours are required, including occasional nights and occasional weekends.

We're located in Southern Houston and reliable transportation is required as the position will include on-site visits throughout the major metropolitan area of Houston. Occasional travel outside the Houston area to cities in Texas including Austin, Dallas, San Antonio and smaller towns. Parts of Louisiana may also be required. International travel may also be required, though rarely.

A cell phone capable of secure configuration and policy compliance is also required.
